Experience
2008 - current
Mediator in private practice.
1991 - 2007
Marital Master, New Hampshire Superior Court and New Hampshire Family Division.
In this position, I presided over thousands of family law cases: divorce and parenting actions, domestic violence cases, and child support lawsuits. I heard the full timeline of actions, from the temporary to the final hearing, and matters brought forward after a final decree issued. While serving on the bench, it was my practice to facilitate discussion among the parties and counsel with a goal of reaching a mutually acceptable stipulation.
1987 - 1991
Deputy Clerk, Rockingham Superior Court with a concentration in the Marital Division. I was primarily responsible to the Masters, court staff, counsel and pro se litigants in both an administrative and advisory capacity.
1983 - 1987
Private practice, as an associate and partner at the Giles Law Office. My practice had an emphasis on personal injury, medical malpractice, and workers' compensation matters.
