Applicants

The Associated American Dental Schools Application Service (ADEA AADSAS) is a centralized application service that simplifies the application process by providing one standard dental school application for ADEA AADSAS-participating dental schools. Individuals applying through ADEA AADSAS complete one application which is sent to all dental schools designated by the applicant. Please be aware that ADEA AADSAS verifications occur in chronological order and on average take two weeks to complete.

Deadline November 1st – Applicants must have all of the following materials available to the UF College of Dentistry (UFCD) through ADEA AADSAS by November 1 st :

  1. Verified ADEA AADSAS Application as specified by ADEA guidelines.
  2. DAT Scores
  3. At least 3 Letters of Evaluation or 1 Committee Letter.

All applications, including those that are incomplete, will be released for review as-is on November 2, 2024. UF College of Dentistry does not guarantee an application will be considered if the DAT or Letters of Evaluation requirement is not met by the deadline.

Target Date September 1st – Historically, our most successful applicants have the verified ADEA AADSAS application, DAT scores and all letters of evaluation received by our office through ADEA AADSAS or email by September 1st .

Eligibility

An application will only be reviewed if the applicant is a United States citizen or United States permanent resident (green card holder) at the time of submission.

State Residency

Preference is given to residents of the state of Florida. Approximately 10% of the entering class is comprised of out-of-state students.

For application review purposes, UFCD must follow the state of legal residency listed on the ADEA AADSAS application. However, the University of Florida, determines state residency for tuition purposes based on published criteria rather than what an applicant lists on the AADSAS application. Visit Matriculants for additional information.

Prerequisite Courses

Applicants can apply before completing all prerequisite courses, but all prerequisite courses must be completed prior to matriculation in August with a letter grade of C or better from a regionally-accredited college or university in the U.S. or Canada, including community/state colleges. No pass/fail credits are allowed.*
